Thank you for being a volunteer!
Everything will be provided for you on the day to look after Jasper.
Please read the time-specific guides relevant to you and also the General Guide. If you have any questions or any changes you would like to inform us about, please contact us. |
In the MorningThe earlier you can get to the usual spot, the better. Jasper will be at the usual spot, starting from around 8am. When you finish your volunteering time, return to the usual spot to transfer Jasper and his carry bag to the next volunteer, and take a photo of Jasper with the next volunteers and send it to Jovi. Jasper is most full of energy in the mornings. High energy activities are encouraged, to prevent him from destructive behaviours such as biting his leash. Lunch TimesPick up and drop off Jasper at the usual spot, at the start and finish of your volunteering time. Don't forget to transfer over Jasper's bag to the next volunteer and take a photo of Jasper with the next volunteer and send it to Jovi. Jasper may take a nap around lunch time. As there is increased ibis activity during this time, if Jasper is chasing an ibis, please make sure he doesn't catch one. Jasper likes to lick birds, but an ibis is the last bird he should lick at UNSW. If you would like to add your volunteering to your LinkedIn, Click Here

AfternoonsPick up Jasper at 2pm from the usual spot from the previous volunteers.
Depending on traffic delays and other daily factors, Jasper may be picked up in the afternoon to go home from 4:30pm-6pm. Either Andy or Jovi will notify you of when Jasper will need to be at the usual spot, to be taken home. Remember to pick up Jasper's bag from the previous volunteer. Jasper will be more relaxed during the afternoon. He may take short naps, then become full of energy again, and repeat. If you would like to add your volunteering to your LinkedIn, Click Here |
